Youth Summer Missions Trip
August 4th-13th
Haiti 2008

Trip Details:

• Trip dates: Monday, August 4th-Wednesday, August 13th
• Projects will include: Cleaning, Painting, Vacation Bible School, Working with the poor and more.

Trip Cost:

• $950.00 per person
• Includes: food, lodging, transportation, insurance & project money
• The cost of the trip will be collected in three payments: January 15, 2008 ($325)
• April 15, 2008 ($325) and June 15, 2008 ($300)
• Checks should be made payable to - Philadelphia District NYI

Application Instructions:

• Read the entire application. Fill out the information as requested. Separate the information page from the application page. Keep the Information page.
• Completed applications should be sent to: Laura Hoover, 7 Stratford Village, Lancaster, PA 17602. (717) 395-1545. Any additional questions contact Missy Kindt (717) 545-6181.
• Applications should be postmarked no later than September 30, 2007.
• Pastoral Recommendation forms should be sent directly from the pastor to Laura Hoover at the above address. These forms are to be postmarked by September 30, 2007 as well. Students should provide an envelope with Laura Hoovers address and the proper postage for their pastoral recommendation.

Selection of the Team:

• Applicants must be in the range of completed 9th grade through completed 12th grade for the summer of 2008.
• All applicants must go through a qualifying interview. Interviews will be held during the Back-to-School Rally, and Saturday, October 13, 2007 at Harrisburg Bethany Church (1605 Parkway West, Harrisburg, PA 17112). You will be called to schedule an appointment after your application is received.
• Applicants are chosen based upon application, interview, age and previous mission experience.

If you are selected:

• You will be asked to secure a valid passport (cost not included in overall cost of the trip.)
• You will be required to attend several mandatory meetings: Saturday, February 16, 2008 from 10am- 3pm (for students and parents-lunch included for a donation) an overnight retreat Friday & Saturday, April 25 & 26, 2008 from 8pm on Friday to 3pm on Saturday (for students only) and Saturday, June 14, 2008 from 10am-3pm (for students only).
